A History

Floor Covering Associates, Inc. is a Shorewood, Illinois-based, family owned business started in 1976 as a carpet store with only two employees. Over the years, Bob Hill has guided this business to become one of the largest floor covering stores in the country. Having had major expansions every few years FCA now employs a staff of more than two hundred people, and offers a full range of floor covering and services.

For over a quarter of a century the steady growth in size and reputation of FCA has enabled the company to attract the finest lines of floor covering and home furnishings available. You’ll find their selection of carpeting, hardwood flooring, ceramic tile, laminate, stone, rugs, leather and upholstered sofas, bedrooms sets, mattresses, children’s furniture, dining room sets, home office and theater, beautiful and unusual decorative accessories, floor clocks and custom window treatments to be unmatched.

But more important than selection, and more important than the values offered, the company places great emphasis on long term employment and extensive training of all of their staff.
