FCA and the FCA Design Center is a growing organization and it provides a number of employment opportunities. Experienced designers with a personal following are highly valued and there are, from time to time a variety of positions available - from part time to full time and from independent status to that of a regular employee.
What Does An Interior Designer Do?
At FCA, we believe that good design is more than a question of good taste and appearance. Interior designers help their clients create and define their living, working, and playing environments. They improve the quality of life by designing spaces that not only look good, but help people to be more productive, healthy, efficient and safe.

How Much Can I Expect To Earn?
Earning potential varies with your experience and skill in working with a variety of clients. Interior designers work for a professional fee based on an hourly rate, on commission, or monthly salary. Compensation varies widely, but experienced designers earn from the mid five figure income level well into six figures.
What Would My Work Schedule Be?
Experienced designers with a following set their own work schedules. Typically they work by appointment only. They frequently attend meetings and workshops, however, to keep abreast of new products. Designers who are just starting out are required to work a 40 hour per week schedule which includes several evenings and weekends.
