FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FCA’S ANNE KAYE-JEWETT WINS INTERIOR DESIGN AWARD

Anne Kaye-Jewett, Senior Designer at the FCA Design Center in Naperville, has created an award-winning interior for the Fox Valley Gallery of Homes show in Elgin, Illinois.

She designed an interior that features warm, Tuscan-inspired colors and a lively mix of comfortable  furnishings and accessories.   Anne’s plan focused on creating a livable home for today’s busy families, by providing  cozy gathering spots within a  spacious open floor plan.  The home’s design, inspired by a Tuscan farmhouse, allowed Anne to use rich woods, textures, and fabrics to complement the natural stone elements of the space.  The dramatic windows are highlighted by custom-made treatments which allow the sunlight to flow through  all of the rooms.

The award committee singled out Acorn Properties’ design for the master bedroom, and Anne emphasized the unique qualities of that space by creating an elegant, resort-like suite. .  The fireplace,  sitting room, and  deck are  furnished in  rich red and gold fabrics, with large  pillows and cushioned upholstery that create a private haven for the homeowners.

Anne Kaye-Jewett has been an interior designer for over 29 years and is an Associate ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) member.  She has worked for design firms in the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, has had her own full service design company and managed a major furniture retailer. In 2004, she joined  FCA to lead the launch of the new Design Center at 2852 West Ogden Avenue in Naperville. The 40,000 square foot Design Center showroom  features  furnishings from well-known  manufacturers as well as unique design pieces from around the world, available in all price ranges.  It also offers complete design services, custom draperies, flooring, bedding, and accessories.

Anne says she owes her success to conceiving “a design vision for each room that’s tailored to my client.”   She says, “My ideas are nothing unless my client feels comfortable with the results.”  She’s most proud of the fact that the majority of her clients are repeat customers or referrals from previous customers.

The award-winning Elgin home, called “Pietra,” was built by Acorn Properties of Geneva, Illinois.  An award-winner all-around, the house also took first place honors for “Overall Custom Home,” “Exterior” and “Floor Plan.”

The house is located at 210 Burr Oak Drive in the Tall Oaks subdivision. The Gallery of Homes show is open Monday through Saturday (closed Wednesdays) from 10:00am through 9:00pm, and on Sundays from 10:00am through 6:00pm.  The show will run through July 23rd.
